past

There were some good things that came out of the 80’s you know!

The company started making sandwiches in a small way in the mid 1980s, when owned by Fitch Lovell Ltd. A purpose-built new facility was built at Redmoor, Milton Keynes in 1988 and a foodservice sandwich supplier called Eatfresh, with a factory in Tamworth, was acquired in 1992, when Buckingham was part of Booker.

In 1997 Buckingham was one of five companies sold by Booker to Prize Food Group, which itself sold Buckingham to Adelie Food Holdings in 2006.
